Role description:
Arcadis seeks a Performance Manager to join the team in the Intelligent Mobility Services Business Area to oversee project performance, implementing best practices in project management, and driving consistency in processes across the Deliver to Results (DtR) phase. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership and staff across the business unit and with Health and Safety, People Services, and Workforce Development to provide cross-functional support and enable the business unit to operate seamlessly. This role ensures the business area meet financial and operational targets by analyzing data and intervening in underperforming areas to enhance outcomes.
This is a remote opportunity, travel when required (less than 10%).
The Performance Manager will sit within the larger Global Mobility Business Area. We partner with our clients across the globe to design thriving and connected cities and communities that enable opportunity for all and keep the world moving. Climate change, urbanization and digitization trends are requiring today’s mobility projects and systems to address an evolving set of demands from the world’s growing population. We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
Role accountabilities:
Project Performance Management: Project Delivery and Performance Manager will combine analytical expertise, project management experience, and leadership to drive success and continuous improvement in project delivery across the business area. Develop and manage dashboards and KPIs to provide accurate and timely project performance data to Project Managers (PMs) and leadership. Publish standardized project metrics within the country, offering valuable insights to support EBITA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, and Amortization) improvement. Support PM career progression through guidance, training, and PM forums to encourage best practices and continuous improvement. Assess PM capabilities against AWPM certification standards and conduct targeted training as needed. Promote the MEPC+ culture by ensuring team awareness of process changes, setting and communicating performance targets, and maintaining compliance with established practices and tools. Collaborate with PMs to identify operational challenges, implement improvements, and maintain alignment with global processes. Regularly analyze project data, engaging with stakeholders such as growth, legal, finance, and risk teams to ensure effective issue resolution.
Data Management and Metrics Reporting: Gather and report on performance metrics, ensuring data accuracy across systems and providing actionable insights to leadership.
Financial Oversight and ROI Analysis: Track and analyze spending across the business unit, mapping expenses to specific clients to assess ROI and alignment with revenue goals. Collaborate with finance and project teams to provide stakeholders with insightful financial reports.
Project Alignment and Resource Monitoring: Work with IMS resource managers, project managers, and in country work force planners to confirm project assignments align with staff skillsets and client needs, monitoring project status to ensure resource allocation supports business goals.
Cross-Functional Support and Process Improvement: Collaborate with Health and Safety, IT, HR, and Finance to address business unit needs and proactively streamline processes to enhance productivity.

Able to engage confidently with senior leaders and other stakeholders. Proficient in managing and influencing multiple stakeholder groups. Skilled in balancing multiple priorities, particularly when managing dual responsibilities. Capable of effective decision-making in the face of conflicting priorities. Strong experience in managing and optimizing project performance. Supports the BA Director in managing EBITA, billability, and multiplier metrics. Makes EBITA and DtR process decisions, oversees project performance reporting and analysis, and provides process improvement input. Strategic bids, pricing, and client decisions within the country and Global Executive Council (GEC). Performance metrics for MEPC+ KPIs, project reviews, EBITA, billability, multiplier, and risk compliance.Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in performance management or program delivery within a corporate or consulting environment, preferably in sectors like engineering, construction, manufacturing, technology, or similar field where managing complex projects and teams is essential. 5+ years in a leadership or senior performance management role with a proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, optimizing project performance, and implementing best practices across large or diverse project portfolios. Experience with performance metrics and reporting tools (such as dashboards, KPIs) is crucial, along with demonstrated skills in data analysis to drive insights for project improvement. Experience with cross-functional collaboration across departments like finance, risk, and legal, is beneficial to effectively resolve project-related issues and drive strategic decisions. Familiarity with MEPC+ standards (or equivalent process improvement methodologies) is highly preferred, along with experience in training or mentoring project managers on these standards and best practices.Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $94,944 - $185,616.00. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
