We are seeking a talented individual to join our Performance Reporting team at Mercer as a Performance Reporting Analyst. This role will be based in Montreal or Toronto office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office
This opportunity will help support our Canada team with provision of advice to fiduciaries of pension funds, defined contribution plans, endowments and other institutional asset pools to make the best risk adjusted return decisions in light of the liabilities and spending commitments that these assets underpin. This role requires collaboration with colleagues across Canada.
We will count on you to:
Lead in the coordination and management of production processes between our onshore and offshore investment performance teams including creating shadow-accounting for clients in Canada
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis utilizing Mercer proprietary tools as well as building the framework for new workflow tools (i.e., Camunda)
Produce and peer review quarterly performance reports for our clients
Critically analyze different investment markets, managers' investment styles, and portfolio characteristics, and evaluate their impact on investment performance each quarter
Support consultants in servicing existing clients and prospects
Demonstrate ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
Represent and promote the image of Mercer, both internally and externally
What you need to have:
A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or other business-related areas
1-2 years of experience as a project manager in financial services or investment analyst
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent project management skills and attention to details
The ability to work on multiple tasks at once and to deliver on tight deadlines
Great ability to manage time and organize well
Motivation and willingness to learn
Strong general computer skills, including mastering Microsoft Office software and using Excel expertly
