Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces. **Major Job Responsibilities** + Triage and solve application and system functionality & performance issues on Qualcomm compute platforms. + Develop new features for power/performance improvement on Qualcomm Computer platforms. + Work on open source projects migration to ARM architecture to improve compatibility and performance on Qualcomm compute platform. + Co-work with Chipset team for system performance projection, analysis and optimization. + Co-work with internal tech teams, program management team and CE team to promote Windows-on-ARM ecosystem in China. + Keep researching and learning cutting-edge technologies in the field of computing. **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical, Information Systems or related field + 3+ years working experience in embedded software development or semiconductor field. + 3+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. + 1+ yeas working experience in performance analysis/optimization on Windows/Android platform. + Understand the basic knowledge of OS Kernel (such as Windows, Linux Kernel, embedded RTOS kernel, etc.) + Understand system hardware/software architecture on Compute platforms. **Preferred Qualifications** + Familiar with ARM architecture and experienced in ARM based low-level SW development + Experienced in Windows kernel, application/drivers development and debugging. + Experienced in analyzing and optimizing Windows power and performance using ETW logs, performance tools (Windows performance toolkit, Xperf, etc). + Familiarity with the ACPI protocol and coding. + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. + Quick learner on new technologies. + Good communication capabilities in both Chinese and English, fluent spoken English is preferred.
