Performance & Talent Management Manager
 The Opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent & Organizational Effectiveness, the Manager, Performance & Talent Management will play a critical role in driving Maple Leaf Foods’ success by leading strategic talent initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness. With a focus on performance management, talent planning, and employee engagement, this role ensures alignment with MLF’s leadership values and contributes to building a high-performing, agile workforce. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach to enable people and business success.

Key Responsibilities Lead Strategic Talent Initiatives: Design, implement, and execute performance and talent management strategies aligned with business objectives and leadership values. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and measurable impact. Optimize Talent Processes: Conduct assessments of existing talent management practices, identify gaps, and recommend innovative solutions to elevate organizational effectiveness. Leverage Technology: Oversee the effective use of SAP SuccessFactors, including modules for performance management, objective setting, development planning, and succession planning. Ensure tools are utilized effectively to enable data-driven decision-making. Talent Review & Succession Planning: Lead senior leadership talent reviews and succession planning processes, ensuring a robust pipeline of future-ready leaders. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze talent and performance metrics to uncover trends, provide actionable insights, and support informed decision-making at all levels of the organization. Present findings to senior leaders and HR partners. Engagement Strategy: Manage the annual employee engagement survey, including technical configurations, data analysis, and presenting actionable outcomes to senior leadership. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Produce regular and ad hoc reports on diversity and inclusion metrics to inform leadership decisions and drive meaningful progress. Performance Management Coaching: Guide HR Business Partners and leaders on best practices in performance management, including goal setting, development planning, and meaningful feedback. Support Strategic Projects: Contribute to the execution of the People Strategy through project management, dashboard reporting, and other key initiatives. What You’ll Bring: Education & Certification: Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. HR certifications (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-CP) are a strong asset. Experience: 5+ years of experience in Talent Management or as an HRBP, with a proven track record in implementing and managing performance and talent strategies. Experience in leveraging SAP SuccessFactors or similar HRIS platforms is required. Background in consumer-packaged goods or manufacturing industries is an asset. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in HRIS platforms (SAP SuccessFactors preferred). Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Excel (pivot tables, data visualization) and Power BI for reporting and insights. Familiarity with survey tools and engagement platforms is a plus. Core Competencies: Strategic thinker with the ability to connect talent initiatives to business outcomes. Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship-building and communication skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, resilient, and results-driven, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
