Performance Test Engineer
Experis is hiring Performance Test Engineers for a long term position. This position is not open for C2C. Consultant must be in Columbus, OH and willing to be onsite. **Job Title: Performance Test Engineer (Retail experience in highly preferred)** **Location: Columbus, OH** **Pay Range: $55/hr** **What’s the Job?** + Performance testing and engineering - This is not a regular functional automation tester job + Open-source performance testing - Apache JMeter, K6 or Gatling. + Experience with tools such as LoadRunner or NeoLoad is a plus. + Object-oriented programming - Java, Python or JavaScript. + API - microservice architecture and cloud platforms and Web applications performance testing concepts. + Performance monitoring and optimization - Datadog, Grafana or New Relic. + Jira or other Defect Tracking tools + SQL + Agile **What’s Needed?** Strong skills in interpreting and analyzing performance test results. + Excellent communication skills – written and verbal. + A team player with ability to multi-task; enjoys working in fast paced and high-pressure environment. + Passion for quality and excellent attention to detail. **Job Responsibilities:** + Design, script, and execute performance tests for various APIs and Web Applications. + Develop scalable performance testing frameworks using open-source performance testing tools such as K6, Gatling or JMeter. + Simulate production conditions to performance test various retail and back-office systems. + Use application performance monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana for real-time performance analysis, tuning and optimization. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, Quality Engineering, Product and Enterprise Architecture to ensure seamless performance across all platforms. + Use defect tracking software such as JIRA to enter and track performance defects. + Develop and maintain test plans, test cases and other performance test artefacts. + Analyze, document and distribute performance test results.
