Build and prime perfusion related devices including, but not limited to: Cellsaver/Autotransfusion, Heart/Lung machine, PRP, BMAC Ensures appropriate set up and break down of equipment in cardiac operating rooms. Provide autologous blood recovery and biologic therapy as required Manages perfusion supplies and equipment inventory at all AHS hospitals. Collect clinical samples and deliver to lab for processing. Maintain optimal communication, close cooperation, and consultation with perfusionist and physicians during delivery of services Assist with the transport of equipment and gain understanding of new equipment or processes, where applicable Maintain proficiency with the operation and maintenance of a variety of autologous blood equipment and procedures such as autologous cell salvage, production of concentrated platelet rich plasma Maintain appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation including pre-procedure checklist and filing of all records Assist in the education, orientation, and training of new staff Supports hospitals throughout the AHS network, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
