Join us in advancing perinatal nursing excellence! **RESPONSIBILIITIES** + Serve as a clinical expert in fetal heart monitoring (FHT), conducting strip reviews, providing feedback, and acting as an AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring instructor. + Identify documentation improvement opportunities, ensuring compliance with charting requirements. + Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to track data, analyze performance, and sustain quality improvements. + Lead interdisciplinary drills for high-risk, low-occurrence events (e.g., maternal/newborn codes, malignant hyperthermia, amniotic fluid embolism). + Work with Assistant Nurse Managers (ANMs) and CNS to assess skills, oversee competency drills, and ensure staff proficiency in key areas (e.g., obstetrical hemorrhage, hypertensive episodes, neonatal resuscitation). + Oversee mandatory education and maintain compliance records for regulatory audits. + Support new hire onboarding, providing feedback to preceptors and developing curriculum for didactic learning days. + Facilitate implementation of new initiatives, products, and procedural updates. + Partner with leadership to expand unit capabilities and ensure staff readiness through training and development. **REQUIREMENTS** + Active Washington RN license + Graduate of an accredited nursing program + Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) + Minimum one year of intrapartum nursing experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) **UW MEDICINE – Where Your Impact goes Further** UW Medicine is Washington’s only health system that includes a top-rated medical school and an internationally recognized research center.
