Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?
As a Periodic Custodian, you will be responsible for completing scheduled periodic work, maintaining equipment and assisting with cleaning during absences. This position is Evening shift Wed-Fri and days Sat and Sun. Approx. 37.5 hours per week. This requires travelling between Port Hope and Pickering for a variety of scheduled tasks a vehicle and fuel is provided. 

Your work will include:

Scrub and degrease floorsAuto-scrubbing floorsSpray buffing resilient floorsStripping and waxing floorsFull carpet and spot extractionPower washing and cleaning showersMaintaining the vacuums and equipmentInterior and exterior window cleaningRemoval of exterior debris i.e. cobwebsCleaning light fixtures and fansCleaning when required which includes, sanitizing washrooms, dusting, vacuuming, dust mopping, sweeping, cleaning and refilling consumable dispensers. Cleaning and polishing surfaces.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A great attitude!Floor care experience required (able to scrub, buff and polish floors)Able to operate cleaning equipment and machineAbility to repair small equipment and troubleshoot using a guideAble to communicate with supervisor, Client and general publicAble to work independently and as part of a teamAble to lift up to 50lbsA clear criminal background check is required for this role. Must have lived in Canada for 5 years and pass client security screening
