Are you living your life's work? **Entity: CPUP** **Location: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania- 3400 Spruce St** **Department: OBGYN HUP RSF** **Hours: Day shift, M-F, Part time- 32 hours per week** The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) Reproductive Surgical Facility is looking for a Perioperative Assistant to join the team in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery setting. In this role, you will support pre-operative nursing and perioperative operations to facilitate safe patient care and flow through perioperative services. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities: Operating room set up and clean up, instrument processing, sterile technique, stocking of supplies, scanning of charts with weekday and weekend work required. The Perioperative Assistant is an integral member of the health care team who delivers quality care through collaboration and communication with team members in the Peri-Op area. They work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse to support and assist the nurse in the delivery of quality care to patients and families. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally. This role emphasizes strong attention to detail, communication/listening skills, decision making and analytical abilities. This professional will also be a resource and utilize other resources when needed by members of the team. High regard for confidentiality and maintaining patient safety is essential. Minimum Requirements: High school graduate, one-year perioperative experience or clinical equivalent (medical assistant) preferred BLS CPR Certification We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
