Short DescriptionThe following actions are the job responsibilities of the PCT within the OR.
Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has nonpatient care responsibilities to include but not limited to: Room turnover: includes taking out the trash, cleaning all areas of the OR, including the OR table, making the table up, and mopping the floorGathering equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical casesChanging OR tables when necessaryRoom set up: setting up the entire OR room for the next case or first case of the day; this includes making the bed, having necessary equipment in the room positioned appropriately for the caseTaking specimens to the labTaking returns to CSP and putting returns away that live in the OR upstairs.PCT will be on your feet, the entire shift so comfortable supportive footwear is needed. Experience RequiredAcute Care Hospital experience preferred (i.e.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS, etc.)
Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use.
Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
License/Certification RequirementsAmerican Heart Association BLS
Special RequirementsHours: 9 am -5:30 pm
