Short Description
The following actions are the PCT's job responsibilities within the OR.
Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has nonpatient care responsibilities to include but not limited to: Room turnover: includes taking out the trash, cleaning all areas of the OR, including the OR table, making the table up, and mopping the floorGathering equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical casesChanging OR tables when necessaryRoom set up: setting up the entire OR room for the next case or first case of the day; this includes making the bed, having necessary equipment in the room positioned appropriately for the caseTaking specimens to the labTake returns to CSP and put returns away that live in the OR upstairs.PCT will be on your feet, the entire shift so comfortable supportive footwear is needed.Experience Required
Acute Care Hospital experience preferred (i.e.: Nursing Assistant, Unit Secretary, PCS, etc.)
Visual and auditory acuity for information retrieval and computer monitor use.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
American Heart Association BLS
Special Requirements
Hours: 2:30 pm -11 pm
