PERM - Senior Engineer

Job title: Senior Engineer

Minimum Salary: $117,062

Job Location: 6800 US Hwy 75 South, Sherman, TX 75090. 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related.

 

Job duties: Design, integrate, and improve manufacturing systems and related processes. Refine product designs to increase producibility and decrease costs. Maintain process stepwise yield and investigate yield issues in the unit process develops and implements corrective actions. Work on developing continuous improvement processes and activities to reduce scrap, improve process capability, reduce cost as well as decrease cycle time. Responsible for designing and executing engineering experiments. Responsible for writing process specification documentation.

 

Requirements: 6 years of experience with semiconductor industry or related. Requires skills and experience to include: 

Expert knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing, packaging, and engineering practices. Expert knowledge of unit process, wirebond techniques, tools, and processes. Proficiency in operating wirebonding machines, including manual and automated systems. Familiarity with different types of bonding materials including gold, aluminum, copper wire, and their appropriate applications. Ability to use measurement tools (e.g., microscopes, calipers) to ensure accurate placement and bonding quality. Skills in implementing and analyzing quality control measures, including visual inspections and mechanical testing of wire bonds. Ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to wirebonding processes and equipment. Proficiency in documenting procedures and results, including the ability to read and write technical reports. Understanding of cleanroom environments and protocols, especially in semiconductor manufacturing settings. Ability to use software tools for process monitoring and data analysis related to wirebonding.
