JOB DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision, perform all Air-Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration system and equipment installation, operation, repair and maintenance works on the facilities of the Department.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Attend to necessary electrical and electro-mechanical maintenance, construction, installation and repairs of the building, electrical equipment and other related facilities of the Department.

2. Perform all kinds of Air Conditioning related works.

a. Installation of Air-conditioning units (ACU) and other ACU related equipment and facilities.

b. Check and repair of ACU system, equipment and accessories.

c. Conduct of motor amperage and refrigerant leak/pressure test.

3. Assist in ACU related concerns.

a. Maintenance of ACU system and other Air-con accessories.

b. Assist in the construction/installation of Air-conditioning and ventilating related structures.

c. Provide technical assistance and advice on maintenance and construction works including the use and care of building equipment and facilities.

4. Prepare and submit periodic reports to immediate supervisors.

5. Drafting of any detailed estimates documents relative to ACU concerns.

6. Assist the Chief of BGMD, Engineers and Architects in all Air-conditioning related works.

7. Undertake other tasks that may be assigned from time to time related to BGMD functions.
