Education          :  Elementary School Graduate

Experience        :  None required

Eligibility            :  Professional Driver’s License (MC No. 10, s.2013 – Cat. IV)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education          :  At least High School Graduate

Experience        :  Must have at least five (5) years driving experience within Metro Manila

Training             :  Must have at least four (4) hours of relevant training

Eligibility            :  Professional Driver’s License (MC No. 10, s.2013 – Cat. IV)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under immediate supervision of the Unit Head of the Administrative Unit of Administrative Service-Office of the Director (AS-OD), performs technical functions on assigned representations, follows detailed rules and procedures; with limited latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, performs simple but responsible sub-professional or professional work.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1.     Drives the light vehicles to convey/ferry staff and officials to their respective destinations for official business and functions.

2.     Conducts "BLOWBAGETS" (Battery, Light, Oil, Water, Brake, Air, Gas, Engine, Tire and Self) procedure on the assigned vehicle;

3.     Fill up Driver's Trip Ticket and submit the same on a weekly basis;

4.     Facilitates weekly Preventive Maintenance service on the assigned vehicle;

5.     Performs daily vehicle checklist/inventory as applicable jointly conducted with the security guard-on-duty

6.     Accomplishes Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Request Form should there be any component or part that needs to be repaired or replaced;

7.     Reports any vehicular accident, breakdown or emergency and, if required, secure Police Report and submit narrative report on the incident;

8.     Complies with all other policies, guidelines, procedures and reminders to drivers on the proper use, maintenance and security of vehicles.

9.     Demonstrates respect and courtesy to supervisors, dispatchers and passengers in the course of official duties as drivers.

10.  Observes road discipline and traffic rules including road courtesy, proper driving habits and careful/defensive driving;

11.  Displays honesty, integrity, punctuality, personal hygiene and neatness, in prescribed office uniform, and maintain the daily cleanliness, care and maintenance or assigned vehicle;

12.  Renders services whether regular or overtime, as needed during disasters, emergencies or other exigencies of the services

13.  Submits reports on statement of assets, income tax return, updated personal data sheet, performance contracting and appraisal daily time records, travel reports, liquidation reports etc., as applicable.

14.  Maintains good attendance and punctuality in reporting for duty; and

15.  Performs such other functions as may be assigned by immediate supervisors from time to time.
