JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, he/she shall be engaged in moderately responsible work pertaining to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and continuous enhancement of educational support program and other learning and development interventions for DSWD employees.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Acts as Lead Focal for DSWD-Funded Scholarship, Externally-Sponsored Local Scholarship, Leadership and Management Certification Program (CPro);
a. Coordinates with external partners and other oversight agencies in line with the implementation of the educational support program of the Department;
b. Evaluates invitations from other government agencies, NGOs, academe, and other recognized/accredited training institutions.
c. Initial screening of educational support applications (DSWD-Funded Scholarship, Externally-Sponsored Scholarship-Local Institutions, Partnership Scholarship, and other Educational Assistance)
d. Facilitates educational support-related documents (resolutions/referendums, endorsement letters, memoranda, contracts, etc.)
2. Manages secretariat functions for the Personnel Development Committee, ensuring efficient meeting coordination, accurate records-keeping, and timely dissemination of information.
3. Monitors and maintains Database of the DSWD-Funded Scholarship, Externally-Sponsored Scholarship-Local Institutions, Partnership Scholarship, and other Educational Assistance;
4. Collaborates closely with internal departments and fosters strong relationships with external stakeholders;
5. Oversees the preparation of the Obligation Request and Disbursement Voucher (ORS-DV) for all Educational Support Grantees’ stipends and other related payables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Others:
1. Prepares feedback reports, updates, meeting minutes, memoranda, and other office communications or special reports, as assigned by, Section Head/Chief Administrative Officer, and/or the Director; and
2. Performs other tasks as required by the Section Head, Chief Administrative Officer, or Director.
