JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Legal Service – Legal Management Division Chief. The Legal Assistant I is responsible for the provision of legal support and assistance in facilitating the operations of the Legal Management Division. She/he performs legal services assistance, such as, but not limited draft responses on simple legal queries/issues and simple letters communications, conducts research, administrative legal works, designate and attends TWGs activities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or LS Director, and other related tasks.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Research on laws, issuances, jurisprudence, rules and regulations.
2. Take action and/or prepare responses to queries and act on routine and simple legal issues
3. Draft basic memoranda and letters pertaining to legal documents.
4. Take action on human resource concerns of the Legal Service.
5. Facilitate processing of the request concerning the deputation of the LS’ lawyers, and other related activities.
6. Attend to assigned administrative duties and responsibilities.
7. From time to time, the Director may assign other related tasks and responsibilities.
Job Outputs:
1. Memoranda for simple legal opinions, letters communications and other pertinent basic legal documents; and
2. Periodic/Compliance Reports.
