JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage and maintain the DSWD library and its online platform, and monitor and assess its operations; assist in the operations of the Knowledge Exchange Center where the library is lodged; and provide technical assistance to the Regional Learning Resource Centers on library management.
Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Develops or enhances policy guidelines in the operations of the DSWD Library
2. Conducts the following activities in managing the library:
Respond to daily on-site request for information reference Ensure efficient retrieval by users by providing accurate stack maintenance Maintain and improve library catalog through cataloging and classification, encoded to the ILS Perform classification-related tasks (i.e., provision of call numbers) Develop and maintain an indexing system Maintain circulation records and perform circulation-related tasks Ensure overdue procedures are followed Oversee fee collection Manage list of overdue materials and their borrowers Implement proper staff accountability during staff clearance3. Assist in managing the KEC through the following activities:
Manage usage of the conference room, using Google Calendar Respond to inquiries made about the KEC Facility Provide assistance in KEC Facility usage (i.e. receiving documents, answering phone calls, documents usage of the library, clearances, etc.) Encourage KEC Facility usage4. Provides technical and consultative services to the FOs in library management relative to the operations of the Regional Learning Resource Centers.
5. Prepares the following reports:
Regular and accurate inventory of resources, periodically compile and generate reports on Facility usage, reference, circulation, and cataloging. Feedback report, updates, minutes of the meeting, memoranda, and other office communications or special reports as assigned by the DC/Director6. Attends meetings, conferences, and other activities on behalf of the Division Chief and/or the Director as delegated; and
7. Performs other tasks as may be required by the Division Chief and/or the Director.

9. Authenticated or photocopy of Civil Service Eligibility and/or Valid PRC ID/Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID/proof of payment or schedule of appointment for the PRC/IBP renewal license; and
10. Performance Rating in the last rating period or its equivalent, as may be applicable.

(i) For those applicants from the public sector vying for promotion, a performance rating is required.
