PREFERRED QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

:

Bachelor’s degree in International Studies, Development Communication, Public

Administration, Economics, Statistics, Sociology or Social Work-or other related

and allied courses with emphasis on social development issues, international affairs,

program management, project development and research or a related field.

Training

:

At least fifteen (15) hours of training on planning, data management, project

management, data analysis and utilization, monitoring evaluation, and technical writing.

Experience

:

At least two (2) years of responsible and professional experience in budget

preparation, management of mid-large size datasets; evaluation and analysis

of data and available statistical materials; delivery of planning related reports

such as work and financial plans, accomplishment reports, etc.; Experience

on handling social development and sectoral concerns (i.e. women, children,

IPs, PWDs, elderly, etc.) is an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the general supervision Division Chief and provide support to Planning Officer III and IV in performing functions in the formulation, monitoring and integration of social welfare and development (SWD) reports, plans and policies of the Department; and does other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Review the Work and Financial Plans of the OBSUs.

2. Reviews, validates and analyses processed data/ field reports on DSWD plans and accomplishments from the OBSUs and Field Offices.

3. Packages/organizes the proceeds data/field reports into compendium, statistical bulletins, and statistical summaries for analysis of the Planning Officers IIIs and/or ready reference of data users.

4. Gathers secondary data on SWD data/information and package the same into statistical summaries.

5. Prepares periodic and special reports.

6. Prepares activity proposals, meeting documents and other technical papers for the conduct of workshops, forum and other related activities.

7. Provides technical assistance through provision of SWD sector accomplishments, statistics to Bureaus, Services, Field Offices, other GOs, NGOs, and other data users

8. Organizers, and/or participate in inter-unit/inter-regional/inter-agency bodies on SWD activities or in the provision of technical secretariat support

9.  Attends to internal and external meetings, trainings or conferences as assigned by the Division Chief.

reports)

3.  Compendium of DSWD and Other SWD Related Statistics

4.  Statistical Bulletins

5. Other periodic and special reports as may be required based on the division mandates

8. Authenticated or photocopy of Civil Service Eligibility and/or Valid PRC ID/Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID/proof of payment or schedule of appointment for the PRC/IBP renewal license; and 

9.  Performance Rating in the last rating period or its equivalent, as may be applicable (For those applicants from the public sector vying for promotion, a performance rating is required).
