We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in our organization's success by managing complex permitting processes and maintaining vital stakeholder relationships. Our Permit Coordinator combines meticulous attention to detail with outstanding communication abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Role

Expertly manage the full lifecycle of permit applications, from submission through approval, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirementsBuild and maintain strategic relationships with municipal authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholdersDrive project success through effective coordination of permit timelines, fee processing, and documentation managementConduct comprehensive map and plan reviews to ensure alignment with permit specificationsOversee permit-related financial operations, including budget tracking and deposit managementLead pre-construction coordination and PG&E power supply submission processesProvide strategic onsite support for permit requirement assessmentsMaintain detailed tracking and reporting systems for all permit activitiesDeliver timely project updates and maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholdersProlonged periods of sitting at a workstation (6+ hours daily)Extended use of computer equipment, including desktop or laptop computer, mouse, and keyboardRegular use of telephone and/or headsetMay require occasional site visits - capability to navigate construction sites (walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs, etc.)May be required to work outside normal hours for urgent permit matters or deadline-driven projects Requirements 2+ years of experience in permit coordination or similar roleExperience in construction or utilities permitting preferredExperience with P2 software systems a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilitiesImpeccable attention to detail and commitment to accuracyDemonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and managing competing prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) - especially with MS Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas)Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to changing prioritiesValid driver’s licensePassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
