Job Description: Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator – LNG Plant Construction (Omani Nationals Only)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator to oversee and manage the permit-to-work system on a major LNG plant construction project in Oman. The PTW Coordinator will ensure that all work is carried out safely and in compliance with project safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
This role is open only to Omani nationals in line with national workforce development policies.
Key Responsibilities: Permit System Management: Implement and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring all necessary permits are in place before work begins. Compliance & Safety Assurance: Ensure that all work activities comply with HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Coordination & Communication: Work closely with construction, commissioning, and safety teams to ensure that PTW processes are followed correctly. Risk Assessment: Review Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Risk Assessments before issuing permits. Permit Issuance & Tracking: Verify that work permits are properly authorized, documented, and maintained throughout the project. Worksite Inspections: Conduct field inspections to ensure permit conditions and safety controls are adhered to. Incident Reporting & Investigation: Support incident reporting and investigations related to PTW violations or safety concerns. Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to workers and contractors on PTW procedures and safe work practices. Qualifications & Experience: Omani National (Mandatory) Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in PTW coordination, preferably in LNG, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction projects. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, PTW procedures, and risk assessment techniques. Familiarity with construction, commissioning, and startup activities in the oil & gas industry. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. Preferred Skills: Certification in HSE, PTW, or Process Safety Management is an advantage. Experience working on large-scale LNG or oil & gas projects. Knowledge of international safety standards (OSHA, ISO, OHSAS, etc.).
