Your impact
Client Advisory: Provide expert advice to clients on a wide range of personal income tax matters including a focus on different reward elements in terms of benefits, including tax planning strategies, compliance, and tax optimization opportunities to enhance their financial outcomes.
Compliance Management: Oversee the preparation and review of individual tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Belgian tax regulations and international standards.
Tax Analysis and Reporting: Conduct detailed tax analyses and prepare comprehensive reports to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders taking into account Belgian and international regulations.
Regulatory Updates: Stay informed of the latest changes in Belgian and international income tax as well as legislation impacting reward like corporate governance, pay transparency and banking legislation, and proactively update clients and team members on relevant impacts and strategic adjustments.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for personal income tax inquiries and fostering long-term trust and cooperation.
About you
A bachelor’s degree in applied taxation or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A professional qualification such as a specialized tax certification would be advantageous.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in personal income tax, preferably within a consulting firm, law firm or a large multinational corporation. Experience with Belgian tax regulations is essential.
In-depth knowledge of Belgian tax laws and international tax principles. Familiarity with tax software and tools used for compliance and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to conduct detailed tax analyses and develop tax optimization strategies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex tax concepts to clients and internal teams.
Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services. Ability to understand client needs and provide tailored tax solutions.
Ability to stay updated with changes in tax legislation and quickly adapt strategies to ensure compliance and optimize client outcomes.
Experience working collaboratively within a team environment and the ability to mentor junior staff and share knowledge.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in tax return preparation and compliance management.
