Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Personal Injury Paralegal in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Being part of our team, you will primarily work for Personal Injury attorneys, handling tasks such as legal writing, court filings, medical record work, and client correspondence. Responsibilities: • Engage in frequent client communication, fostering strong relationships and providing updates on case progress. • Handle court filings, ensuring all legal documents are submitted accurately and within the required deadlines. • Utilize experience in Personal Injury Law to aid attorneys in case management. • Manage and organize medical records pertinent to each case. • Employ advanced software skills, such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for efficient case handling. • Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence as dictated by attorneys. • Administer claim procedures and billing functions proficiently. • Manage attorney calendars effectively, scheduling appointments and setting reminders for important dates. • Conduct briefing sessions to update the team about case status. • Ensure effective use of Case Management Software and CompuLaw for streamlined operations. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS). • Proficient in various Case Management Software. • Proven experience with CompuLaw and other legal-specific software. • Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively and efficiently. • Strong skills in Briefing and presenting case summaries. • Excellent Calendar Management skills to organise and schedule appointments. • Experience in Claim Administration, including filing, tracking, and managing personal injury claims. • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, attorneys, and court officials. • Deep understanding and experience in Personal Injury Law. • Previous experience representing Personal Injury Plaintiffs. • Capacity to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
