Beacon Hill's client, a law firm located in Trenton, NJ is seeking a temporary Personal Injury Paralegal for a long-term temporary coverage. The candidate must have experience handling personal injury cases from inception to settlement/trial as well as handling and supporting attorneys with pre-litigation matters. The candidate hired must commute to their office daily in Trenton, NJ, must have paralegal experience in Personal Injury litigation, as a legal assistant or paralegal. Pay rate is dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities

Communicating with clients, law offices, insurance adjusters, medical offices, and experts.Manage Prelitigation and Litigation matters from start to finish.Assist in preparing for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Prepare and file complaints, motions, briefs, and arbitration statements; prepare special packages, discovery demands, and answers to interrogatories. Review the discovery provided and summarize deposition testimony.Assist attorney with depositions calendaring and maintain court dates.

Requirements

High School Diploma, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent.Possess working experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in the personal injury area of law.Familiarity with New Jersey e-courts and N.J. court rules and legal procedures.Computer literacy with proficiency in M.S. Office and Outlook.
