The Personal Insurance Manager reports to the Associate Vice President of Operations and is responsible for assisting in developing and managing our personal Insurance team, with accountability for increasing revenues, profitability, and flow through, managing expenses, as well as the overall satisfaction / engagement of both clients and employees.

A day in the life -

Business Development:

Help develop annual business plan, with the Vice President, that when executed will meet targets, and maximize every opportunity, for the personal lines of business in the branch including:New businessBusiness retentionBranch growthClient experiencePrivate ClientCommercial AutoAssess local market and identify current and prospective opportunities to obtain new clientsFocus on driving value from the Personal Insurance relationships to our Commercial insurance services.Ensure an excellent and consistent client service experienceEnsure all best practices are adopted and effective for the branchMaximize on opportunities for efficiency (i.e. utilizing central processing)Participate actively in both the business and industry communities to build a network of contacts that improve the presence and reputation of the branch and organizationOther duties and responsibilities as assigned

Talent Management Responsibilities:

Provide a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates talentEnsure high employee engagement through recruiting, talent management, development, and career planning.Support the team of talent to achieve their highest performance potentialClear, concise and consistent communication (branch specific, corporate communications, etc.)

Operational Responsibilities

Manage operational aspects of the branch including corporate branding, office aesthetics and cleanlinessEnsure the safekeeping of all company assets in the branchEnsure consistent and effective application of all corporate policies and procedures as they apply to the business or to the employeesAble to answer client and associate questions, handle service/call escalations, answers phone inquiries, complete special projects and assist in creating processes.

Requirements

Proven track record of revenue growth and retention.Thrives in a team orientated and dynamic environment.Strong organizational skills allowing you to juggle multiple competing priorities on a daily basis.Ability to cultivate strong and productive interpersonal relationships both internally with your staff and externally with your clients.Strong MS Suite knowledge: Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Bookings, PowerPoint.Ability to work collaboratively with direct reports, colleagues and front-line talent to create a results driven and team oriented environment

Qualifications

Strong communication skills (verbal & written)Excellent interpersonal skills with a variety of individuals (internal and external)Passion and firm understanding of business and financialsStrong organizational skillsMinimum 2 years’ experience leading a department or branchLevel 2 or 3 General Insurance LicenseIndustry designation or working towards (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM)

Salary Expectations -

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
