Overview The Excess & Surplus Lines (E&S) Specialist, supports our Personal Lines sales and service team members in the development of a profitable book of personal lines business, specifically within the Excess and Surplus Lines Markets. The Excess & Surplus Specialist is accountable for delivering high quality and efficient service to both internal and external clients through the day-to-day management of an assigned group of accounts that vary in size and have relatively simple to very complex needs. This role directly contributes to key business outcomes such as client retention, client satisfaction, enhancing AJG's value to our clients and prospects, achieving operating/margin targets and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement. How you'll make an impact The E&S Specialist is responsible for the care of all E&S policies within their assigned accounts, with a specific charge to: Proactively manage the renewal timeline to ensure a seamless renewal process. Proactively review and update coverage and risk details with clients. Manage all policy transactions, including (but not limited to) underwriting compliance, mid-term policy transactions, remarketing, and any other servicing needs. Handle all billing associated with the E&S policies including Agency bill and Direct bill. Build and solidify relationships with existing clients by providing exceptional ongoing care. Also, to Support associated Gallagher teams and team members, by: Marketing/Remarketing existing business from the Standard market to E&S as needed, taking on ownership of the client relationship through that process. Providing Agency bill and Direct bill support to Gallagher colleagues. Providing background support and subject matter expertise as needed, Assisting as a liaison with our E&S Broker partners for other Personal Lines teams, including Sales & Marketing. Helping to secure existing business and drive the sale of additional services and lines of coverage. And, to maintain the over-all Gallagher Standards of Excellence in both Coverage and Service, by: Cultivating positive relationships with our E&S Broker partners. Ensuring prompt response and delivery of internal and external correspondence. Maintaining meticulous notes of all client interactions in our Agency Management Software. Retaining and labeling all relevant documents in our Database. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders. This involves understanding their insurance needs, providing expert guidance and advice, and ensuring excellent customer service throughout the policy lifecycle. About You Required: Bachelor's degree with 0+ years client service and/or claims management experience -OR- High School degree/GED with 3+ years client service and/or claims management experience. Producer's License. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Appropriate licensing as required. Preferred: Previous insurance knowledge and experience managing client relationships. Solid financial acumen. Behaviors: Proficient in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortably engages others in consultative discussion. Effectively manages/balances multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
