ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Administers health and safety management system for assigned assets to ensure sustained regulatory compliance.  Maintains current information on local, state, and federal safety regulations.  Provides consultation and support regarding occupational safety, including corporate EHS&S policies and standards and industry practices.  Provides internal stakeholders with assessments of regulatory issues, including analysis of pending regulations.Implements safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions.  Administers safe work programs and practices, such as, but not limited to, energy isolation (lockout/tag out), personal protective equipment (PPE) use, hot work, confined space entry, fall protection, and permit to work.Participates in workplace assessments.  Compiles, performs analysis, and interprets information derived from workplace assessments, such as permit-to-work/job safety analysis audits, field safety audits, and safety observations.  Advises on safe design aspects of equipment during project design.  Supports and facilitates employee and industry engagement in safety through channels like Safety Committees, industry round table groups, and LEPC meetings.Prepares and submits timely and substantively complete regulatory reports, documentation, and similar documents.  Maintains current, accurate, and complete records.Conducts incident investigations and initiates corrective actions to address root cause(s) and reduce risk of reoccurrence.  Assists with regulatory inspections or investigations. Conducts audits to identify hazards, deficiencies, potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.  Partners with site leadership to implement corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, and incident investigations.  Takes appropriate action for gap closure.Supports engagement and communication program to foster an "incident-free workplace" culture and build awareness of safety core values.  Serves as a role model and champion for safety.Develops health, environmental and safety information, manuals, training material and programs; informs employees of related policies and procedures; conducts appropriate training sessions.Reviews engineering designs and cost estimates for health, environmental and safety equipment or systems; determines engineering specifications and recommends equipment, as required.Provides support to construction projects; including project planning and onboarding of contractor safety representatives.Maintains sufficient professional expertise and proficiency in discipline to achieve Company expectations and perform technical assignments.Expected travel up to 20%

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess knowledge of safety metrics, root cause analysis, excavation safety, confined space entry, fall protection requirements, energy isolation, hot work, hazard communication, mobile equipment, and mobile crane safety.Must have the ability to prepare safety-related reports and other types of documentation in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to incorporate different training methods based on the audience and capability to speak in front of large groups.Must be able to properly analyze process safety-related information and present findings in a clear and concise manner.Must be proficient in conducting onsite assessments and evaluations as they relate to safety and process safety management items.Must be able to perform and track all site safety required trainings.Must have excellent time and project management skills and ability to work well with minimal supervision.Communication Skills:  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  The job will require public speaking engagements and significant report writing. Computer Skills:  Must have exceptional computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.   A working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint systems is also required.   Familiarity with safety-related software management systems is a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

A current valid driver's license is required. Current safety-related certifications are a plus.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Must have a general understanding of the natural gas processing and gas and oil gathering business.Must be able to exercise discretion when dealing with confidential and privileged information.Must be a self-starter who communicates well with plant personnel, management, public, regulatory agencies, and customers.Provide assistance to other facilities/areas when needed.This position has high visibility at this location. Individual must possess excellent leadership type qualities and a previous track record of safety success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

A high school diploma or GED is required with 4 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree with two (2) or more years of relevant experience.Working knowledge of applicable regulatory requirementsAbility to identify issues and work as an independent problem solverCapable of managing conflict in the work environment
