About the position:
The Petrophysicist role will support well logging interpretation projects of varying complexity across Chevron�s global portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
The position provides project support for a wide variety of petrophysical projects from worldwide operations, ranging from exploration to detailed field studies
The person should be experienced in multiple basins and reservoir types, and be proficient in a wide range of petrophysical analysis techniques
Ability to manage and evaluate large multi-well projects, and be up to date on recommended logging programs to solve complex reservoir characterization problems
Work with application developers to enhance and develop new analysis tools and workflows
Required qualifications:
BS and MS in Earth science Disciplines (Geology, Geophysics, Geomechanics) or Petroleum Engineering from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Experience in hands-on petrophysical interpretation
Experience with Techlog preferred
Extensive experience in all aspects of borehole image technology, good understanding of various well-logging technologies and high level of skills in applying fit-to-purpose solution to reduce reservoir uncertainty
Documented expertise in log evaluation techniques, mineralogy, core/log integration techniques, saturation height functions, NMR, shaly sand analysis
Fluent in probabilistic techniques such as ELAN or Multimin in multiple reservoir types and basins
