Join our innovative, world-class team today! **Position Specific Description** NextEra Energy is currently seeking a Solar Fleet DC Field Engineer who can apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. In this role, the candidate will manage the panel flash testing program using a state-of-the-art mobile lab. This candidate will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. This position requires supervision only related to high level objective and critical issues. **Areas of responsibility will mainly focus on panel flash testing and analysis, including but not limited to:** + Managing a testing program for panel flash testing as a solar panel subject matter expert (SME) + Operate a state-of-the-art Mobile lab + Work with third party test centers to validate mobile lab is abiding to top tier testing standards + Conducting root-cause analysis (RCA) for critical or persistent issues with solar panels + Acting as the single point of contact for several panel manufacturers + Assisting the operations team with general DC field support and troubleshooting + Performing data analytics on test data and provide reports and recommendations + Creating reliability failure rate curves for component level failures to develop a spare parts strategy + 50%-80% travel required to move mobile lab trailer between sites **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelors or higher in Engineering + At least 2 years of experience working in solar + Experience conducting RCAs and working with vendors + Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher **Job Overview** Employees in this role apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and related fields.
