What you will do
This is a portfolio management role within Securitized Products team at PGIM Fixed Income and report to the Co-Head of Securitized Products. We are seeking an experienced Securitized Products Portfolio Manager to join our investment team. This role involves managing portfolios of securitized assets with a focus on asset-backed securities (ABS) and non-agency residential mortgage-backed (RMBS) securities. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of securitized products, proven portfolio management expertise, and the strategic insight necessary to navigate complex market environments.
What you can expect
Develop and execute investment strategies for securitized products portfolios, focusing on asset selection, risk management, and return maximization while ensuring compliance with investment policies, regulations, and client objectives.
Work closely with the Securitized Products research team to assess risk, underwrite potential investments, and identify relative value
Use quantitative and qualitative methods to identify value-added investment opportunities within the securitized products space.
Present investment thesis and positioning to clients and internal stakeholders.
Participate in the firm's marketing and fundraising efforts as needed
Actively engage with market participants, including brokers, banks, and counterparties, to source investment opportunities and gain insights into market conditions.
Attend industry conferences, webinars, and meetings to remain up-to-date on securitized products trends, regulatory changes, and new investment opportunities.
Influence the buildout of new technologies to facilitate portfolio management processes
This is a hybrid role based in Newark, NJ with a requirement to be in the office from Tuesday to Thursday.
What you will bring
15+ years of experience managing securitized products. Proven experience of successfully managing ABS and RMBS
Deep network of relationships with issuers, banks, sponsors and funds
Proven track record of managing people and processes
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strong understanding of fixed income mathematics and bond valuation concepts
Strong understanding of quantitative methods and models
BA/BS degree required (MBA, MS and/or CFA are pluses)

Experience investing within European markets
Understanding of regulatory considerations within portfolio management affecting Securitized Products including ERISA & EUSR
Ability to distill and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to a variety of decision makers and audiences
Ability to work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast paced, high intensity environment
Ability to think creatively and help solve unique challenges that come from investing across different investor types such as pension and insurance clients
Buy-side asset manager experience

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The base salary range for this role is from $200,000 to $225,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. This role is also eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits including a competitive, discretionary annual cash bonus opportunity along with long term incentive awards. Eligibility to participate in the discretionary annual incentive programs are subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
