What you will do

Our PGIM Fixed Income Operational Risk Management team is seeking a Junior Analyst who will be responsible for collaborating closely with other control functions to promote operational risk awareness and partner on key risks and initiatives. 

Our Operational Risk Management team is a dynamic group that collaborates with all areas of PGIM; in turn creating a myriad of learning opportunities and a collaborative culture. Responsibilities span all our products and markets while we serve as an internal business partner to aid in processes and controls; as well as help improve our systems that deliver accuracy, efficiency, and the overall integrity to our business.  

What you can expect

Assist management in completing risk assessments/control reviews for existing processes, and new products and initiatives, by ensuring key operational risks and controls are properly identified, assessed and documented

Review and analyze incidents, errors, and other risk events: perform root cause analysis, identify trends and recommend corrective measures.

Assist in the collection and reporting of key risk indicators (KRIs), top risks, and other risk related metrics and reporting.

Ensure that issues and action plans are created timely and recorded within the issues management module in the Enterprise Risk Management system (OpenPages).

Assist with managing the PGIM FI Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and SOC1 testing including partnering with impacted internal stakeholders and external auditors

Collaborate closely with other control functions including Compliance, Legal and Audit on risk/control related items

Promote Prudential’s Operational Risk Management framework policies and procedures across the PGIM Fixed Income business

Assist with the management and execution of model risk, regulatory items and End User Computing Solutions (EUCS)

Manage reoccurring tasks including risk reporting, error reporting, tracking of open issues/action plans among other items

Assist with managing and enhancing technology systems utilized including the PGIM FI Error Database and PGIM FI Procedures Database. 

What you will bring

Broad product knowledge in the fixed income industry including, exposure to diverse products and activities

Audit and/or Operational Risk Management experience is preferred

Ability to collaborate within a small team of risk professionals

Analytical mindset and ability to identify, assess and mitigate key risks and perform root cause analysis

Ability to effectively influence, negotiate and drive change within an organization while retaining independence

Highly ethical individual with strong moral compass who can effectively challenge management while partnering effectively with them

Results-oriented individual who can transform strategy into action

Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to partner and build professional relationships in a cross-functional environment

CPA, CFA, MBA or similar certification/credentials a plus

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $90,000 to $105,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
