What you will do

The successful candidate will join the Sustainable Investing team at PGIM Private Alternatives.  They will focus on making new private credit investments, managing the existing general account assets in private credit and private equity, and new sustainability focused market rate product development for third party clients.

The Sustainable Investing Team is positioned to be a growth engine for PGIM Private Alternatives. A primary goal for the team’s future capital deployment is to generate proof of concept portfolios for new product development. The proof-of-concept portfolio is intended to be a pre-requisite to a fund launch and the investment associate will have an exciting opportunity to work on the ground floor of an innovative strategy.

What you can expectAssist senior team members in managing the GA IRI Private Equity and Credit existing portfolio (~$700M AUM invested across sustainability, financial inclusion, and education & workforce development impact themes) including direct and fund investments - quarterly reporting and creation of dashboards as needed, managing modifications, monitoring performance, and recommending corrective measures, representing IRI on LPAC meetings as assigned.Assist in performing all aspects of new investment sourcing, due diligence, deal structuring, modeling, preparation of investment committee material, deal execution and investment reporting.Support new product development activities with a near term focus on private credit (corporate) and ABS sustainable products– create pitch decks, perform research, motivated to contribute to the development of new investment product theses.Develop domain expertise in assessing technology driven business models across sustainability (energy transition/decarbonization in the built environment and mobility).Maintain relationships with fund managers, co-investors, co-lenders, management teams and other stakeholders.Assist senior team members in managing SMAs and strategic financial services investments on behalf of Prudential International Insurance. Assume responsibility for maintaining impact measurement frameworks and metrics across the portfolio.What you will bringBachelor’s degree and 5-6 years of experience in investments (investment analysis, structuring, negotiation, or financial advisory). Experience with private credit investments is requiredStrong background in financial analysis, asset/portfolio management, and deal structuring and an enthusiasm to invest in further developing these skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong underwriting skills with a firm understanding of risk/reward relationships. Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $130,000 to $150,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
