What you will do

Have you been part of the real estate investment industry for several years with a growing interest in technology strategy, user adoption and business impact? Do you want to be part of a global effort to thoughtfully plan and evolve a core operational platform for real estate investments? If so, consider joining our product team within PGIM Real Estate as Equity Product Manager as we deliver a global platform where you will drive product backlog, user adoption and requirements investigation.

The Equity Product Manager will align with our delivery teams supporting strategic business and technology initiatives.  This individual will have proven experience in managing the priorities, strategies and relationships between technology and the business. The Product Manager’s initial focus will be the build out of a proprietary platform to enable data intelligence across key property-related data.

This role provides the opportunity to support the evolution and growth of PGIM Real Estate’s business and client base and gain an in-depth understanding of the real estate equity product lifecycle. Ideally the candidate will work in our Newark, NJ office in a hybrid capacity, but we will consider candidates in other US office locations or who are fully remote with occasional travel to Newark. This role reports to the Chief Product Owner for equity real estate products.

Align with senior business and technology leaders to influence strategy for new technology platforms supporting PGIM Real Estate’s equity business. Drive transformation of legacy processes and data platforms to modern solutionsPartner with front office, operations, and business teams to implement high-performance, scalable solutions and platforms improving operational efficiencies and providing data and analytics to the analysts, investment teams and clients.Communicate product strategy and initiative updates effectively to key stakeholders and team members.

What you can expect

Product Strategy

Contribute to development of product vision and communicate the story effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team. Then take forward that strategy into execution.Create and maintain an ongoing product roadmap by working with business areas to identify, sequence, and prioritize enhancement requests.Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e., review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with our strategic product visionStay updated on global trends in Asset Management and identify opportunities for use within our organization.

Delivery Partnership

Ensure customer-driven design to solve user pain points and enhance usability, leveraging market and industry knowledge and on-going competitive research to deliver a well-positioned productPartner with Systems leadership to build a modular and scalable solutionReduce backlog of development requests by ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, prioritized, and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organizationWork with the Technical Product Owner and technology teams to prioritize development sprints and align product roadmaps and release plans Act as liaison with external vendors on user design and development

Business User Engagement

Drive user adoption initiatives to ensure effective onboarding, training and continued engagement of users with new system functionality.Collect, analyze and prioritize user feedback, translating it into actionable enhancements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine system features that align with business needs.Oversee user acceptance testing to validate system functionality, coordinating with technical teams to resolve issues and ensure system readiness.Partner with Data Trustee to ensure alignment of system capabilities with business data governance standards to ensure data integrity

What you will bring

Bachelors’ degree and 8+ years of hands-on experience in product management for technology solutions within the financial services industry. Experience in real estate investment management and/or alternative asset classes preferred with domain knowledge across asset management, portfolio management and operations accounting.Experience with setting technology strategy in alignment with business priorities; able to guide and balance both technology and business delivery in line with industry best-of-breed solutions.Strong relationship management skills, with ability to astutely and pragmatically balance business expectations with a realistic technology delivery roadmap.Ability to drive stakeholder interaction to capture user needs with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working on multiple tasks with competing priorities both independently and within a team construct.Experience managing multiple projects and vendorsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Team player with an ability to build partnerships and influence across all levels of the organization.Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex business issues. Self-starter with ability to work independently while communicating frequently.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $135,000 to $175,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
