** This role will have oversight of both 2nd and 3rd shift in Liquids Manufacturing and Packaging.  The individual in the role will have flexibility to arrange their work schedule to accommodate coverage of their responsibilities.**

 

Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and promoting, at a tactical level, a collaborative cross-shift team to ensure the production of high-quality products meeting customer needs within regulatory standards for safety, environmental, quality, and employment. Drive behavior changes, foster empowerment, build engagement, and increase organizational capability of their area of responsibility within the supply chain. May act as a back-up for (Associate) Directors as appropriate. As a collective group, Managers are responsible at a tactical level for driving consistency and sustainability of expectations, processes, and culture across the entire Flow Organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Mentors, leads, coaches, and develops employees; manages and addresses performance issues; and makes hiring, firing and compensation decisions to ensure individual and organizational performance currently and in the future.

Communicates site and department goals and expectations to staff. Sets goals and expectations for staff with their input. Ensures conditions (time, equipment, etc.) necessary for staff performance are met and barriers to performance are removed. Measures direct reports' core job/MAG performance and contribution to team performance. Communicates site and department performance to staff. Provides direct reports with feedback on core job/MAG performance. Collaborates with direct reports to identify and enable their skill and knowledge development. Rewards and recognizes staff and team performance to build engagement. Ensures direct report positions are filled timely with the best qualified candidate(s).

Oversees and leverages internal and external staff to ensure work environment has resources necessary to support area performance.

Reviews policies and procedures; identifies needs, solicits feedback and participation from staff for continuous process improvement. Promotes continuous improvement by leveraging direct reports and external resources to develop effective solutions, remove obstacles, and share/implement best practices. Collaborates with Engineers to drive continuous improvement activities within area of responsibility. Engages and empowers team members with the process and expands their knowledge and decision-making capabilities.

Inspires and motivates team members to achieve organizational goals by providing relative and timely incentives and rewards.

Develops appropriate professional relationships with team members that allow for safety of feedback while still promoting accountability for behaviors and results. Seeks to understand individual and team motivational drivers. Ensures reward systems are balanced and incent desired behaviors. Encourages continuous improvement by seeking feedback from team members and leveraging subject matter experts.

Completes administrative tasks associated with payroll, time & attendance, performance, and talent management, reviewing Overwatch, Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), LMS training, weekly ZD reports, and Operation Business Review data. 

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, Biology, Chemistry, and/or relevant discipline. In lieu of degree, 12 cumulative years of experience in operations. 6 years of experience in Operations 4 to 6 years of leadership / supervisory experience Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs Experience with process improvement methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
