Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. The Pharmacy department is responsible for compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and large-to-small volume parenterals, as well as providing drug information and education. As the Lead Pharmacist, you will provide valuable leadership to ensure that Straub’s Pharmacy department provides quality pharmaceutical knowledge and services to our patients and their families. This includes supervising, scheduling, planning and supporting the Pharmacy department, as well as compounding and dispensing pharmaceuticals, supplies, medications and parenterals. You will also provide information about medications to other health professionals and monitor the safe distribution of medications in an inpatient or outpatient hospital setting.
