Logan Health's Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy in Kalispell, MT, is looking for a PRN Pharmacist to join their team!*12% PRN differential pay on top of base rate

This position delivers appropriate and safe medical care in an efficient and cost effective manner, among a team of multidisciplinary health care professionals. The scope of practice includes direct patient care through collaborative practice agreements, patient education, medication reconciliation, and drug information as applicable to assigned area(s).
Qualifications:
PharmD from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, or equivalent clinical experience required.
Current Montana State Board of Pharmacy, Registered Pharmacist License required.
Accurate data entry skills, analytical and advanced math skills required.
RQI required and as applicable to assigned area(s):
First Responder required for assignment: Clinic, Retail, Behavioral Health, IS and Administration Pharmacists.
ACLS required for all other assigned area(s).
Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments under stressful situations at times. Must work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Evaluates and verifies orders for therapeutic appropriateness, proper dosing, optimal dosage form, drug interactions, allergic reactions, route and rate of administration, and therapeutic redundancy.
Provides patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information to the appropriate stakeholders as applicable to assigned area(s).
Performs daily review of pharmacy reports including pharmacokinetic monitoring as applicable to assigned area(s).
Documents clinical interventions appropriately in electronic medical record.
Implements all drug use policy and formulary decisions of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee.
Reviews and updates Collaborative Practice Agreements per department protocol for assigned area(s).
Supports and precepts pharmacy students on practice rotations as applicable to assigned area(s).
Assesses and evaluates the medical and drug literature. Compares and contrasts therapeutic regimens and uses for new or existing drug treatments.
Provides direct and indirect patient care for patients through Collaborative Practice Agreements as applicable to assigned area(s).
Develops and participates in operational and clinical projects as determined by departmental needs and ongoing projects as applicable to assigned area(s).
Performs direct patient care rounding, order verification, discharge counseling, and education of other healthcare professionals as applicable to assigned area(s).
Supervises the pharmacy technicians as applicable to assigned area(s). Serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students on rotations as applicable to assigned area(s).
Maintains pharmacy knowledge through continuing education and applies new principles to current practice as needed.
Exhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to job duties and HIPPA.
Coordinates medication ordering, preparation, dispensing, and administration systems for the oncology patient populations as applicable to assigned area(s).
