**Responsibilities**
Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate identification, preparation and distribution of drugs, the monitoring of patient drug therapies, and the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients served. Pharmacists supervise and direct ancillary personnel (technicians, interns) working in their immediate area. In the absence of a pharmacy director or assistant manager, a pharmacist may be required to assume all essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. This position provides care/service to the acutely ill patient from neonatal through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
**Qualifications**
**Experience:**
+ Pharmacist hospital experience and or related pharmacy experience.
+ Clinical pharmacy preferred.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy Current California Pharmacist license.
+ Graduate of a School of Pharmacy with Pharm. D. Completion of an ASHP residency preferred.
**License/Certifications:**
+ Current CA Registered Pharmacist License BLS certification required.
**Special Skills:**
+ Bilingual preferred
+ Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment delegation skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a complex and dynamic environment and take appropriate actions in emergent situations. Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in an effective tactful and diplomatic manner. Must have the skills to produce accurate work results within established time frames. Must have good understanding and ability to apply federal and state regulations and accreditation.
**Training:**
Knowledge of unit dose systems, IV admixture, chemotherapy, clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and drug use evaluation required, or related experience.

**Pay Range**
$65.48 - $94.95 /hour
