Responsibilities Responsible for educating healthcare professionals and patients on medication use, as well as compounding and dispensing prescribed medications for patient care. Perform professional and technical activities associated with the distribution of medications, the maintenance of drug inventory, patient records and patient financial records. Supervise interns and technicians for assigned area. Qualifications Job Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy Current License to practice Pharmacy in the State of NM Knowledge of pharmacy operational systems which may include unit dose distribution, IV admixture, QA, DUR, Pharmacy computer systems, and automated drug dispensing equipment. Preferred Job Requirements: One (1) year pharmacist experience ASHP accredited PGY1 residency (preferred) or equivalent experience (required). A minimum of 2 years as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting (equivalent to PGY1). PGY2 residency or equivalent experience (preferred). Three-five years experience as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting (equivalent to PGY2). New Mexico Pharmacist Preceptor License IV Certification or must obtain within 6 months from date of hire. Board Certification (BCPS) or must obtain with 3 years of date of position American Heart Association ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
