MediCard is currently looking for assertive, dynamic and energetic individuals to fill up the following vacancy:
Provides prompt, accurate and professional pharmacy services to the customersDuties and Responsibilities:Dispenses medication and supplies to customers.
Performs medication counselling
Performs initial Drug Interaction Review as requested by the Customer.
Performs Order Taking functions, Explains to the customers the MEdiCard Pharmacy Services
Recommends generically equivalent products to the customer when the brand prescribed or requested is unavailable or if the customer requests for an efficient alternative.
Attends to customer inquiries and requests regarding medicine.
Maintains organized filing of prescriptions.
Dispenses and records prescription and dangerous drugs according to the existing Food and Drugs Administration (FDA).
Ensures that appropriate information is given to patients purchasing Over the Counter Drugs.
Ensures that quality of medicine is maintained through proper handling and storage at any given time.
Handles complaints from customers related to medicines.
Counter checks prescriptions and drugs prior to their dispensing to ensure their correctness and accuracy.
Checks correctness and completeness of medicines dispensed for delivery.
Performs reconstitution and compounding of prescriptions when required.
Keeps the compounding area neat, clean and orderly.
Cleans, arranges, replenishes and monitors availability and expiration dates of stocks on assigned shelves.
Performs cashiering functions in the absence of Pharmacy Assistant or as scheduled by the Branch Supervisor
Post all sales transactions in the POS.
Receives payment from customers and gives change if vital.
During cashier’s cut-off, reconcile cash on hand against cash sales in the system.
Process settlement of all credit card and supplier program terminals.
Arrange all transaction documents accordingly and endorse to branch supervisor at the end of the shift.
Receives endorsement from pharmacist/ pharmacy personnel in the outgoing shift.
Checks and receives deliveries from the central warehouse.
Receives and checks medications returned by customers.
Identifies and separate items to be returned and ensures compliance on existing Returned Goods Policy
Prepares documents and supervises the actual return of Rx items to the Central Warehouse.
Ensures compliance with all applicable government rules and regulations.
Updates ALL store personnel with the product knowledge as well as on the FDA to ensure compliance
Attends staff development programs relevant to the work.
Attends branch meetings and Pharmacist’s meetings
Performs duties which may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Licensed Pharmacist
Experience : At least 6 months work experience
Other Skills : Above average written and verbal communication skills. Personable.
