Job Title: PharmacistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to oversee prescription dispensing personnel and operations during shifts. The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate preparation and compliance with applicable laws for all pharmaceutical products dispensed. This role includes final verification for non-sterile and sterile prescriptions, proper packaging, assignment of beyond use dates, and final inspection of finished products. The Pharmacist will also train, coach, and counsel technicians performing non-sterile compounding and participate in shipping and handling of prescription orders when needed. The ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment is essential. Responsibilities + Oversee prescription dispensing personnel and operations during shifts. + Ensure proper technique, accurate preparation, and compliance with applicable laws for all pharmaceutical products dispensed. + Perform final verification for non-sterile and sterile prescriptions, including proper packaging, assignment of beyond use dates, final inspection, and proper directions for use. + Train, coach, and counsel technicians performing non-sterile compounding. + Participate in shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed. + Adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment. Essential Skills + 1 - 2 years of Pharmacist experience, ideally from a retail or hospital setting. + Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. + Order verification skills. + Experience with prior authorization processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. + Knowledge of The Compounder (PK software product) and QS-1 preferred but not required. + Experience in a retail pharmacy setting is ideal. Work Environment This position involves working within a closed-door specialty pharmacy in a temperature-controlled environment. The shift is from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute paid lunch break.
