Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. Responsibilities A hybrid clinical pharmacist primarily focuses on providing direct patient care while also working across multiple clinical and operational settings. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. Provide accurate and timely clinical consultation and medication information to healthcare staff and patients. Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely. Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and other approved formulary protocols and/or guardrails. Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and staff; train and precept pharmacy students/residents. Make appropriate evidence-based, patient-centered medication recommendations. Participate in the management of medical emergencies as appropriate, including, but not limited to Code Blue. Qualifications Job Requirements B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy. Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy. BLS & ACLS certification (BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS required for attending Code Blue). Preferred Job Requirements Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy. 2 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
