Pharmacist - Inpatient Pharmacy

Pharmacist Full Time

Springhill Medical Center's inpatient pharmacy provides services for 200+ inpatients, an advanced heart care center, and one of the busiest emergency departments in the city.  Pharmacists are required to participate in proactive antibiotic stewardship program, rounding with a multi-disciplinary team, committee participation, manage medication dosing and monitoring services, participate in student teaching and education, and manage technical staff.  Along with the clinical services, pharmacists verify orders and oversee medication distribution.

 

This position will rotate through day and evening shifts, and will require working rotating weekends and holidays.  Evening shifts and weekends are worked 1 out of every 6 weeks.

 

Requirements include graduation from a recognized school of pharmacy, licensed by Alabama to practice pharmacy, and valid controlled substance certificate. 

 

Pre-Employment Requirements:

We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Education Requirements:

High School Graduate Current Alabama Pharmacist license Valid controlled substance certificate.

Basic math skills required for compounding IVs Attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Basic computer skills Ability to perform moderate physical work exerting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
