**Job Summary**
Provides patient care consistent with the Mission and Vision of the pharmacy department that includes all areas of pharmacy practice related to specific job assignments. The Pharmacist must accept personal responsibility and accountability for the patient’s outcomes. Must utilize effective problem solving skills as appropriate. Conveys enthusiasm and sincerity and promotes Avera McKennan and its services in a positive manner to all customers and co-workers. Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Coordinates work flow with other team members to ensure a productive and efficient environment. Works with and precepts students and residents as assigned. Provides oversight for technical staff as assigned/necessary. May be involved in organization committees.
**Education and/or Experience**
+ Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
**Certification/Licensure/Registrations**
+ Registered Pharmacist in the state of South Dakota required.
+ Board Certified by Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties preferred (Refer to staff development plan for specific requirements)
**Work Schedule**
+ Varied day/evening shifts as needed; PRN
+ Occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call involvement
