Maintain integrity of pharmacy and specific departments, monitoring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations Analyze patient chart notes and perform drug utilization reviews Evaluates prescriptions for clarity, route of administration, purpose of use, dosage, schedule, and compatibility with other medications Consult directly with physicians on orders requiring clarification and discussion Monitor technician activity regarding prescription entering, filling, and phone communication Dispense medications following regulatory standards and guidelines Counsel all patients regarding medications received Provide 24 hour on call coverage as required
