Pharmacy 340B Analyst - McLeod Health Pharmacy Services

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations
Position Overview:

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager - 340B Program, as a 340B Pharmacy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting 340B program operations and ensuring compliance within the healthcare organization. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of analytical and operational tasks, including data analysis, program maintenance, and program support. This role is essential for optimizing 340B program performance and helping the organization provide cost-effective pharmaceutical care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Support:
•    Collaborate with 340B manager to ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the 340B program.
•    Assist in the monitoring of operational records, inventory, and 340B and non-340B purchasing accounts.
•    Provide support for 340B software and operational workflows to ensure accuracy and reliability.
•    Acts as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders for items as they relate to the 340B program.

Data Analysis:
•    Utilize large datasets to perform data analysis.
•    Identify discrepancies, anomalies, and trends in 340B program data.
•    Collaborate with the team to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
•    Generate reports and insights to support program improvement and compliance.

Compliance and Reporting:
•    Monitor program compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
•    Support the preparation of reports for audits, compliance assessments, and performance evaluations.
•    Help in the development and implementation of corrective actions to address compliance issues.
•    Maintain detailed records related to program operations and compliance.
•    Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts within the 340B program

Training and Support:
•    Deliver training and functional support to internal and external staff involved in 340B program operations.
•    Assist in the preparation of training materials and resources.

Miscellaneous:
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Management Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
•    Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
•    Strong organizational and communication skills.
•    Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to compliance standards.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Training/Experience:
•    At least 1-3 years of experience within pharmacy, healthcare finance, healthcare operations, data analysis, supply chain or equivalent area (Required)
•    Experience working with large datasets to identify discrepancies and anomalies (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
•    Eligible for registration as pharmacy technician in the state of South Carolina (Required)
•    Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
•    340B ACE (Preferred)
