System Pharmacy Clinical Manager oversees clinical pharmacy services across the healthcare system.  Their responsibilities will be two-fold – practicing as a clinician at one of the system campuses while managing the clinical pharmacy team across the system.  This manager will work with the clinical pharmacists, directors of pharmacy, site managers, and analysts.  They will provide direction to the staffs, and set and track goals for each site. They will lead the team in educating the medical, pharmacy, and nursing staffs across the system.  On their home campus they will monitor drug therapy to improve patient outcome and quality of care, recommend rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives, provide medication information, support accurate and efficient medication distribution, and implement and evaluate programs to improve care across the healthcare spectrum.  Must have the ability to analyze situations and make decisions inside the management structure and have excellent communication skills with the ability to work with others in a fast paced environment.

Education required: High School Graduate or Equivalent

Education preferred: BS/BA in Business Admin, Accounting, or hard Science  

Licensure/Certification: Registration/Certification with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician preferred

Abilities/Skills: High level computer skills required, including high level understanding of data manipulation. Strong MS Excel skills required, MS Access preferred;  Must be a self-starter, looking for ways to improve process, willing to critically evaluate processes to identify areas for improvement. Information Technology background preferred. 340B program familiarity preferred. Financial Background preferred
