Overview As member of Gallagher’s best-in-class Pharmacy Consulting Practice, the Lead Pharmacy Benefits Consultant is responsible for increasing the pharmacy revenue within the region with a focus on increasing the ongoing pharmacy consultation service revenue within the region. This includes delivering subject matter expertise and expanding revenue opportunities across the different branches within the region. Pharmacy Practice team members are relied upon to review and interpret marketing results, explain and present utilization and cost trends to clients and/or prospects and to complete projects critical to clients’ decision-making with respect to Pharmacy Benefits management. **You must live in IL, WI, MI, MN or OH** How you'll make an impact Build out a strategy to increase ongoing pharmacy consulting services within the region. Report to Health & Benefit (H&B) market leaders on a quarterly basis any new updates to the pharmacy practice. Work with H&B consultants on any pharmacy related issues for the region Provide leadership oversight to the Great Lakes Pharmacy Practice team. Manage relationships with client vendors and review clinical programs to see if they bring true value to clients Attend business meetings with clients and their vendors to discuss tasks and provide guidance including PBM utilization meetings Perform client utilization review with clients and provide to them observations and recommendations that would help client’s to maximize and optimize their prescription benefit spend. Present at events and conferences for HR practitioners and/or prospects Support regional pharmacy benefits consultants and producers in client facing activities and revenue generating opportunities Maintain technical understanding of pharmacy benefit products and concepts Have a strong understanding of current pharmacy benefit trends, conditions and concepts. Be capable of reviewing and interpreting marketing results, explaining utilization and cost trends to existing or prospective clients. Perform initial review of policies, contracts and other documents as required Keep a current awareness of vendors’ products and capabilities Advise on and contribute to creation of content for employee communication material to be used by client regarding employee pharmacy benefit design and cost Respond to all client and/or employee questions regarding pharmacy benefits and facilitate resolution of complex issues in a timely manner as needed Stay abreast of all client pharmacy activity, including renewals, market checks, procurement activity and audit opportunities. Create and manage preparation of spreadsheets, proposals, presentation materials and deliverables for current and prospective clients Maintain client files with documentation as required by internal compliance standards Be capable of setting and communicating clear and realistic expectations to team members and clients in order to avoid perception of service delivery failure Participate in peer review of all client facing documents as required by internal company policy . About You Required: *You must live in IL, WI, MI, MN or OH** Bachelor's degree required and 8 years’ relevant pharmacy benefits experience. Doctor of Pharmacy degree 5 Years of Management Experience Strong acumen for generating revenue Must be self-motivated, assertive, enthusiastic and collaborative Must be amiable when encountering difficult situations with clients, vendors and co-workers Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize effectively and deliver work according to strict deadlines Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator.
