The Pharmacy Business Product Owner will own the implementation and management of new pharmacy systems. This role collaborates with multi-functional teams to ensure successful delivery, integration, and operational excellence. Candidates should have a solid background in project management, pharmacy operations, and technical implementation, with an ability to drive critical initiatives and foster collaborative relationships. Responsibilities: + Project Planning and Strategy + Develop and maintain project plans to ensure timely delivery and alignment with key targets. + Generate business requirements for system implementations and enhancements; create and implement the testing strategies to validate functionality and workflows. + Be responsible for product implementation processes, configurations, and partner engagement in testing. System Implementation and Collaboration + Partner with vendors to review implementation options and coordinate testing as well as collaborating with technical and operational teams for smooth implementation that contributes to key targets. + Communicate all changes in functionality that could impact patients, healthcare providers, and external stakeholders. + Lead maintenance schedules and ensure timely support ticket submissions to vendors. API and Data Integration + Identify API needs and collaborate with partners to develop required integrations. + Ensure seamless data flow between the pharmacy dispensing system and CRM platforms. Data Management and Reporting + Develop data requirements for system performance and business analytics. + Supervise updates and design of reports, identifying ownership for development. + Create strategies for data quality monitoring and handle impacts on prescription backups. Pharmacy Alerts and Monitoring + Implement required pharmacy alerts for system functionality and efficiency. + Establish and monitor data quality control strategies. Data Migration and Quality Control + Develop a data migration plan for transitioning pharmacy dispensing data. + Ensure data integrity through backups and quality assurance during migration. + Implement user acceptance testing (UAT) for final approval before release. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication + Serve as the liaison between business units, technical teams, and vendors to align project goals. + Collaborate with internal & external partners to drive product implementation and decision-making. + Identify training opportunities and handle change for integrated systems. **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Pharmacy, Information Systems, or a related field. + Minimum of 5 years experience in pharmacy operations, healthcare IT, or related fields. + Demonstrated experience managing large-scale system implementations or similar projects. + Strong understanding of pharmacy dispensing workflows, data integration, and reporting requirements. + Exceptional project management skills + Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams. + Familiarity with API development, data migration, and quality assurance practices. Preferred Qualifications: + Advanced degree + Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and CRM integration. + Experience working with central fill and third-party vendors. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment and teleworking from the employee’s home address listed in their employment file. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. When telecommuting employees must have reliable internet access in order to access required systems and software associated with the position's responsibilities. The amount of time the employee is expected to work per day or pay period will not change as a result of participation in the teleworking program.
