Pharmacy Buyer - Pharmacy
*POSITION SUMMARY* The Pharmacy Buyer maintains superior quality and outstanding service by cost effectively procuring pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical supplies. *PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES* 1. Coordinates and orders the daily purchasing of pharmaceuticals and supplies for all locations, ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulatory guidelines. 2. Maintains inventory levels based on historical data, market conditions, contracts and par levels. 3. Processes expired and recalled drugs in a timely manner. 4. Receives orders from various suppliers daily. This includes matching orders to packing slips and receiving orders into ERx system. Ensures invoices are reviewed for accuracy and are paid in a timely manner. 5. Participates in quarterly inventory counts across all Family Pharmacy locations. 6. Provides technician support, filling prescriptions in workflow as needed based upon queue volume and staffing levels. 7. Provides customer service support for patient concerns escalated for research and resolution. 8. Provides training to new technicians for all workflow processes as needed to include call center, product dispensation, bedside discharge, retail and all workflow queues. 9. Maintains Kirby Lester machines including ordering cells, training, problem resolution and managing inventory levels. Analyzes and recommends any NDC changes to Kirby Lester for workflow improvements. 10. Maintains pharmacy inventory in a clean and orderly manner. Arranges medications, IVs and supplies on stock shelves. 11. Assists in researching prescription errors, customer complaints and portal events. 12. Performs other duties as assigned by Director. *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. * Work Experience: Three (3) years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician. * Licensure: Pharmacy Technician Licensure in the State of Florida. * Certification: None * Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: o Proficiency In Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer skills. o Basic Math skills. o Ability to work independently, and well with others. o Critical thinking skills, analytical skills, and thoroughness. o Attention to detail. o Good communication skills (oral and written). o Able to work well under stress. *PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* * Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. * Work Experience: Two (2) years’ formal training or equivalent work experience as a Pharmacy Buyer. *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* * Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, and stooping. * Long periods of computer time or at workstation. * Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance. * May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise. * Communicating with others to exchange information. * Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. * Workspace may vary from open to confined, onsite, or remote. * May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle. **Job:** **Pharmacy* **Organization:** **Holmes Regional Medical Center* **Title:** *Pharmacy Buyer - Pharmacy* **Location:** *Florida - Brevard County-Melbourne* **Requisition ID:** *076386*
