The Pharmacy Clinical Data Analyst I position supports the Pharmacy Services Team in designing, developing, testing, automating and deploying clinical and quality analytics surrounding supply contract analysis, benchmarking, clinical report development, and overall data optimization. This role will also work with cross functional teams in Physician Services such as Quality, Urgent Care, Payor Initiatives, Reporting and Analytics, Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (AEHR) and Finance.
**CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Develops and maintains dashboards, analytics, and ad hoc reports as requested by the Pharmacy Services Team (e.g. samples program management, physician dispensing, identification of at-risk purchasing and prescribing trends for controlled substances, compounding, high alert medications/medical surgical/lab items, etc.)
+ Participates in and/or leads various aspects of the development lifecycle, including, but not limited to, requirements gathering, data modeling, and product development
+ Collaborates with experienced colleagues to produce technical solution designs that meet the business requirements in a manner consistent with HCA Healthcare and industry standard (e.g. pharmacy support of value-based care initiatives, purchasing team clinical quality related activities such as formulary compliance)
+ Participates in the support of existing ambulatory clinical quality programs (e.g. medication management/regulatory applications and validation of the Event Tracking Tool and Quality Risk Site Assessment)
+ Employs Physician Services Ambulatory Clinical Quality strategies, technologies, and standards
+ Proactively communicates project plan adjustments to appropriate clients and stakeholders
+ Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating with all team members, sharing information, accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate
+ Continually increases knowledge in the areas of technology, business, healthcare, and Company services utilizing self-study and/or continuing education
**TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE**
+ Knowledge of data and analytics tools, platforms, and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI, QlikView, etc.) is required
+ Knowledge of relational database design/administration/management, development lifecycle, and project/product management practices is preferred
+ Understanding of current/emerging technology trends impacting the healthcare industry (e.g., electronic health record technologies, cybersecurity, third-party risk management, cloud computing, data analytics) is preferred

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Bachelor of Science in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field is required
+ Certification in relevant expertise area (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, etc.) is strongly preferred
+ Three to five years of experience required
