Job Description
The pharmacy fill technician will prepare all medications and pharmacy supplies to be checked by a pharmacist and delivered to facilities.
ResponsibilitiesFill cycle medications into blister or strip packages for unit dosing.Fill medications utilizing automation.Manually fill prescriptions.Prepare bulk supplies, antibiotics, and pain medications.Essential SkillsStrong attention to detail.Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.Pharmacy technician certification.Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.6 months of pharmacy experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong teamwork skills.Flexibility in schedule management.Work Environment
The position is based in a long-term care pharmacy. The work schedule requires at least one opening shift (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and one closing shift (11 a.m. - 8 p.m.) per week, with varied hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. for the remainder of the week. Additionally, one weekend per month is required, with Saturday hours from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and on-call duties on Sundays. The work environment is relaxed with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
